We offer health, life, dental, vision as well as cancer, accident, critical illness and other plans. We also work with clients beginning their retirement journey as they work through the Medicare framework.
Michael Hurley is the Founder and Owner of Hurley Benefit Services. After serving in various executive leadership roles with Aflac Incorporated in South Texas, Central Texas, Northwest Arkansas and East Texas for 18 years, he left that position to form his own agency in 2019.
A graduate of Southern Christian University ( B. A. in Theology in ’94) and the Brown Trail School of Preaching (A. A. in Bible in ’92), He has spent more than 20 years preaching in full and part time capacities for congregations in Joshua, TX; Longview, TX; and Victoria, TX.
He is a member of the West Erwin Church of Christ, the South Tyler Rotary Club, the City of Tyler Historical Preservation Board, Historic Tyler Inc Board of Directors. In addition, He sings tenor with the East Texas Men in Harmony, and lead with the Vocal Majority Chorus in Dallas, TX. He was recently named Loaned Executive of the Year (2018-2019) for his volunteer work with United Way of Smith County.
He and his wife Tami, have four children and two grandchildren.
Tami Upton Hurley, Vice President of Hurley Benefit Services, brings almost 35 years of healthcare experience to the Hurley Benefit Services team. Working to ensure clients are able to find the right fit for their individualized insurance needs is one of Tami’s strengths.
A graduate of Baylor University and Texas A& M University- Corpus Christi, Tami understands the challenges of the current healthcare system working as a nurse while at the bedside and administrative/teaching roles.
Besides being a mother to four children, two grandchildren and two long-haired dachshunds, Tami stays busy working on various local and state boards for historical and heritage organizations.
